How to protect your land when it is a declared national park

Living in a national park is no picnic. Although the animals, plants and archaeology are well looked after, the people who live there or own the land are not. Anyone who lives or owns land in a national park must receive a permit from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority or the Staff Officer for National Parks in the West Bank for even the most minor renovations or for farming the land. Coincidence or not, the only communities who live within areas defined as national parks are Palestinian villages. This video offers basic information for those who live or own land in a national park on how to deal with the law and the challenges of living in a national park that is intended for the benefit of another national public.
