The two years since October 7 have been marked by major escalations in the scope and severity of human rights violations and breaches of international law in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem: widespread killing and violence, unprecedented destruction, starvation, displacement, intensified occupation, and restrictions on freedom of protest.<\/p>\n

Fundamental values such as the sanctity of life, universal human rights, respect for the rule of law and the laws of war, and accountability for violations, have been compromised to a degree that cannot be rectified without thorough investigations and genuine acceptance of responsibility.<\/p>\n
